</strong><strong>you create and become great at, the larger number of qualified<br />
</strong><strong>prospects you&#8217;ll create for your school.</strong></p>
<p>I first learned the concept of Marketing Pillars from Jay Abraham at<br />
an EFC Convention many years ago. He referred to a the strength<br />
of a Parthenon being even stronger with a larger number of pillars<br />
in strategic positions.</p>
<p><em>How many Marketing Pillars do you have in place?</em></p>
<p>At the end of Commercial Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale, there is a long pier<br />
that goes out into the ocean. It is supported by a large number of<br />
well placed pillars that have survived many tropical storms and even<br />
a few hurricanes over the years.</p>
<p>Something tells me if you started removing those pillars, it would be<br />
long before you&#8217;d see that pier crashing down during the next storm.</p>
<p>In running a successful Martial Arts school, you should have pillars<br />
in place that are aimed at attracting new students and pillars that<br />
are aimed at retention of your current students.</p>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re trying to improve your ability to ATTRACT, RETAIN<br />
or RENEW&#8230;it&#8217;s all about creating Pillars of Success that assist you<br />
in strengthening your ability.</p>
<p><strong>MORE PILLARS=&gt;MORE PROSPECTS&#8230;</strong>is simply a mindset that is<br />
designed to encourage you to increase the number of pillars you have<br />
in place for attracting more students into your school.</p>
<p>For kids, you may want to increase the #Birthday Parties you host, or<br />
you may want to organize a PTA fundraiser, or host a buddy week.</p>
<p>For adults, you may wish to organize a Parent as Coaches Class, or host<br />
a special fitness based or self defense seminar. These would be just a<br />
few examples of pillars that have proven to create prospective students.</p>

<p>There are many ways to increase your student value. The obvious one is<br />
to raise your rates. However, that is just one of about 10 strategies you<br />
can take to increase your value per student.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>PERSISTENCE PAYS. When you receive a lead or an inquiry<br />
</strong><strong>for your school, you should always be ready to follow up in<br />
</strong><strong>a very persistent manner.</strong></p>
<p>Sensei Steve Sohn, an EFC/MAUI &#8220;Top Performer&#8221; with a billing<br />
check of $92,000.00 per month, he believes very strongly in this<br />
approach toward follow up on a lead. His team is very aggressive<br />
and persistent with hitting the phones.</p>
<p><strong>There is always the initial phone call follow up, add to it an<br />
</strong><strong>e-mail and then another call. That&#8217;s three initial contacts<br />
</strong><strong>within the first couple days. Then, you can let it sit for 48<br />
</strong><strong>hours or so, then go at it again.</strong></p>
<p>Many times, you may do an initial follow call on a prospect and they<br />
may not recognize your number or be prepared to receive your call.</p>
<p>Assume this and you&#8217;ll understand why you want to do more than one<br />
call and why you want to test different forms of follow up. Anytime you<br />
use a multi-media approach, you increase your chances that the prospect<br />
received your contact.</p>
<p><strong>PERSISTENCE PAYS&#8230;</strong>is all about being professional in wanting to help<br />
someone and understanding that you must remain committed to your<br />
purpose until you hear back from each prospect. Never second guess if<br />
they are interested or not&#8230;ASSUME THEY ARE!</p>
<p>People are very busy and equally distracted these days. If you are a one<br />
call/one e-mail person, you are not likely to achieve the same results as<br />
someone that is willing to reach out to a prospect a minimum of 5-12 times.</p>
<p>Many times, you won&#8217;t even get a call back until you&#8217;ve made 5-12 contacts.</p>
<p><strong><em>Do you believe you can make a difference in people&#8217;s lives?</em></strong></p>
<p>Another reason why you must have PIGHEADED DISCIPLINE/DETERMINATION<br />
to follow up again and again, until you get a response or create a result.</p>
